Surprise tulips

I bought some 'end-of-range' greatly reduced tulips just before Christmas and planted some out in the garden

and some in pots indoors.

I haven't seen any signs of the outdoor ones but here are the others.

I'm more than a little surprised because I was sure the packet showed single colour, deep-red flowers.

Still, they're nice - not quite what I hoped for though.
