Thought it was getting time to tidy the allotment up and in the course of weeding discovered some reasonably sized beetroot.
Lots of spinach still cropping though soon it has to be lifted for potatoes to be planted.
also picking more small lettuce and rocket leaves from home for salad variety
and some radishes - some old stood-through-winter one and a couple of this year's crop
We always pickle our own beetroot.

I rarely pickle it these days but eat it baked, then cooled, generally in salad.
