September in the garden - vegetables and fruit
A lot of the garden is starting to look worse for wear - the cabbages have been nibbled at by snails and caterpillars..
t
the sugar snap peas have dried out
although they're growing the borlotti beans have been nibbled away
Fortunately some plants are doing well - the painted lady runner beans are now flowering - and clambering into the apple tree
the greenhouse is full of tomatoes and cucumbers....
...and grapes
still some late strawberry flowers so hopefully more fruit to come
chillies are ripening
and small veg is ready to be moved out - leeks
and cabbages ready for Spring

Fab stuff in your September garden. I neglected mine this year although I got pounds and pounds of gooseberries in June! the only thing that is really flourishing right now is the rosemary bush which is threatening to take the whole place over.
