Winter has been very mild up to the last couple of days and things at the allotment are growing well without us putting in any effort! We went down at the beginning of the week and had a busy time cropping - an almost too-far-open cauliflower
autumn broccoli - it's been cropping on and off since autumn, probably only doing so well now as the weather is so mild.
more brussels sprouts - bigger now than those I picked for Christmas
parsnips and italian radishes, if you can see through the dirt. I have to grow more of these radishes next year, they've grown far better than normal round radishes would at this time of year. I also have a packet of blue German Herbst und Winter radishes that I forgot to set and should be good winter croppers.
you are so lucky to be picking your veg, we are buried under snow! I think its great how you try differnt seeds, we alwyas saved our seeds and pretty much bought the same ones, you make gardening an adventure, we just always grew our food it became far more daily chore than adventure, I like your way much better,
